Jan 11, 2021 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
On Monday, Jan 11 at 6:30 PM, we will hold an online-only club meeting. Our speaker will be Sarah Jacobson on the Economics of Climate Change.
Climate change is a pressing environmental problem. In this talk, Dr Jacobson will give some background about the science of climate change, and then explain how economics gives us useful insights for thinking about why climate change is a problem and how we can solve it. Fighting climate change will require some sacrifices because reducing the emissions that cause climate change will be costly; but these sacrifices can be smaller if we design smart policy, and they can forestall even the greater pains that would be caused by the progression of climate change.
Our meetings are now online using Zoom.
