Stacy Bruce - Peaceable Kingdom, by Variety

Since 1996, Stacy Bruce, has been involved and active as an advocate for children across the nation. Her involvement has included both the direct delivery of services and in administrative and agency leadership roles.

As the Executive Director and President of Variety of Texas, Stacy has set her sights on creating a brighter future and impacting the quality of life for those children and families in living with special needs. 

Stacy holds a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Child Development from the University of Texas at Austin. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services, Hope House of Austin and other nonprofits.  

Over the last 30 years, Stacy has demonstrated a commitment to her community through volunteering with organizations such as Special Olympics, Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation, Austin Fit, Austin Flyers, Hospice Austin and Communities in Schools. She is an alumnus of Leadership Austin, 2011. An avid athlete, Stacy enjoys training for competing in endurance sports.  Her most beloved job is that of mom to her 17-year-old daughter.
