Feb 03, 2025 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
On Monday, February 3rd at 6:30 PM, we will hold an in person club meeting, our speaker will be Lee Buckland.
The mission of Play for All Park is to provide a safe, fun place to play and develop new skills for people of all abilities in Central Texas and surrounding areas. The park caters to hundreds of visitors per day on average. Our expansion plans will enhance the options we offer to individuals and families not sufficiently met by the current park design, such as those with visual challenges or families with older siblings.
Our meeting will be held at Shoal Creek Saloon, located at 909 N. Lamar Blvd. This will be a very interesting program, we encourage you to invite family, friends, and colleagues to join us.
About Lee Buckland,
Lee Buckland has had a 30-year career in Rotary, initially serving as a Rotaract District Leader and with other clubs until relocating to Round Rock in 2010. He then transferred his membership to the Sunrise Rotary Club of Round Rock and currently serves as its secretary and one of its RYLA coordinators. The first project he was involved in at his new club was forming the Play for All Park in Round Rock, which he has supported ever since. Lee was finally invited to join the Play for All Foundation board in 2022 and now serves as its president.

Feb 10, 2025 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
On Monday, February 10th at 6:30 PM, we will hold an in person club meeting. Our speaker will be Michael Rayos.
Michael Rayos will be sharing information about how The Dream Come True Foundation’s model of wrap-around services has been proven to help individuals achieve their goals, move out of poverty, and positively impact their surrounding community. They believe the most underserved people in poverty are the people who want out. That’s where that’s where they come in. DCTF creates the path out. They provide the means and the opportunity for a Dream Achiever (“Achiever”) to gain the education and skills required to obtain a high-demand, family-sustaining income-level job. Their impact is profound and significant. They break the cycles of intergenerational poverty with determined individuals “on the cusp of success” and their families and provide foundational pathways through adult education, one-on-one mentoring, essential financial assistance, and access to community partnerships.
Our meeting will be held at Shoal Creek Saloon, located at 909 N. Lamar Blvd. This will be a very interesting program, we encourage you to invite family, friends, and colleagues to join us.
About Michael Rayos:
Michael Rayos is the chairman of the board of the Dream Come True Foundation (DCTF), a local non-profit organization with a mission to assist individuals who are on the cusp of escaping poverty and achieving success. An Austin native who grew up in East Austin, Michael currently works as a Cloud Security Engineer, a goal he achieved with the assistance of the Dream Come True Foundation, where he now holds a position on the board. He is a father to three adult children and two grandchildren, with one more grandchild arriving later this year.
