Jan 27, 2025 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM
On Monday, January 27th at 6:30 PM, we will hold an in person club meeting, our speaker will be Daniel Pettit.
ANEW City is a visionary urban development approach that prioritizes preserving natural environments in areas of growth. In decentralized smart cities, each critical resource—water, food, energy, and utilities—is distributed across multiple origin points. This microgrid-like system ensures that each resource is readily available at an equal distance from any resident, regardless of how far out they live. Instead of relying on traditional, centralized infrastructure that pushes resources further as the city grows, we will build cities that grow linearly, ensuring that growth is both manageable and sustainable. The goal is to design infrastructure that enables the city to expand indefinitely while maintaining harmony with its surroundings, creating a sustainable model for future development.
Our meeting will be held at Shoal Creek Saloon, located at 909 N. Lamar Blvd. This will be a very interesting program, we encourage you to invite family, friends, and colleagues to join us.
About Daniel Pettit,
Daniel Pettit is a serial entrepreneur with a diverse background. Born in Mexico, Daniel moved to the U.S. and enlisted in the military to help pay for college. He went on to build and exit a successful insurance agency, followed by a solar company launched during COVID. Currently, he is a commercial real estate agent. He has spent the past 4.5 years developing ANEW City, a transformative project focused on preserving nature and creating infrastructure that supports sustainable, indefinite urban growth.
