It's time for our multi-club spring fundraising event at Austin Playhouse! Lucky Stiff is an offbeat, hilarious murder mystery farce, complete with mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds and a corpse in a wheelchair. The story revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive, Harry Witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn... or else his uncle's gun-toting ex! We will have snacks at the theater, and drinks are available for purchase at the bar. A note about getting to the theatre (from https://www.austinplayhouse.com/directions ) As you enter the parking lot from Airport Blvd, make a left (if coming from the north) or a right (if coming from the south) and follow the parking lot around, keeping the mall on your right, until you reach the South entrance. Enter the mall and take the stairs or elevator down to the lower level. Turn right. Austin Playhouse will be on your right.
Should you require wheelchair accessible entry:The Highland Campus has an elevator at the South Entrance. There is also a ground floor loading zone entrance located to the right of the mall’s South entrance. Please call the box office at 512-476-0084 for directions.

Austin Charter Services can provide safe and comfortable transport to and from the venue, but we will need to know quickly if we have a sufficient number of Club members who are interested. Depending on that number, the round-trip cost per person would be in the $20-27 range.
